The “Festa della Barbera” renews every year the appointment of Castagnole Lanze citizens with local and non-local visitors, to promote the history, the agricultural economy, the traditions of our territory and above all the passion for wine.

On Friday 27, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 May 2022, the Asti town located between the Langhe and Monferrato will open the doors of its courtyards to celebrate this year too the prized local wine, Barbera. A program full of tastings, good food and music, dedicated to all young people and families, to spend a weekend of joy in an atmosphere of serenity and celebration. This year the Barbera Festival evolves digitally! Thanks to a partnership with the territorial app tabUi augmented reality (www.tabui.app/it/app), it will be possible to find all the useful information, the program of the days, the map of the courtyards where you can eat, music and all the Barbera wine producers directly on your smartphone!

The event program is structured as follows:

FRIDAY 27 MAY 6 pm Opening of the cash desks for the purchase of "barberini" and the Barbera wine shop. 18.30 Opening ceremony with the cutting of the ribbon, presentation of the courtyards, dishes and wines that can be tasted in the historic center. 7.30 pm Opening of the food and wine tour "The streets of Barbera: from courtyard to courtyard". Itinerant tasting of typical dishes and wines of the area, with musical performances and street artists. 9pm Music along the streets, squares and courtyards of the route with musical groups, dance music and DJ cover sets. 11 pm Concert of the EXPLOSION BAND at the Palabarbera. 1 am Closing courtyards.

SATURDAY 28 MAY 9.00 am Opening of the cash desks for the purchase of "barberini" and the Enoteca della Barbera. 9 am Winery tour, guided visits to the cellars of the producers on board the "Barbera Bus" and tour of the vineyards on board the "Trenino della Barbera". Bike excursion (rentable on site) accompanied by a tour guide at the cellars organized by Miravigne Bike. 12.30 Lunch at the Palabarbera, by reservation. 2.00 pm Tour in the cellar, guided visits to the cellars of the producers on board the “Barbera Bus” and tour of the vineyards on board the “Trenino della Barbera”. 18.30 Opening of the food and wine tour “The streets of Barbera: from courtyard to courtyard. Itinerant tasting of typical dishes and wines of the area, with musical performances and street artists. 7 pm Music along the streets, squares and courtyards of the route with musical groups, dance music, cover dj sets; at the Ballroom Palchetto evening dance with the "La Bersagliera" orchestra; at Palco Belvedere "Royal Party Band" in concert; at the Palco della Torre “DJ Set Suite Mood” in concert; at Palabarbera "Vascontigo" in concert; at the Asylum stage cover band "via Gra" in concert; to follow "DJ Pisquo". During the evening, performance of the "Timbales Percussion". Midnight Election of MISS BARBERA 2022 at the ballroom stage. 1 am Closing courtyards.

SUNDAY MAY 29 10 am Opening of the cash desks for the purchase of "barberini" and the Enoteca della Barbera. 11 am At the Palchetto Ball a Barbera tasting in the company of Hernanes among anecdotes, curiosities, football pills, tannins and alcohol content by the Sommelier Paolo Noto. 12 pm Opening of the food and wine tour "The streets of Barbera: from courtyard to courtyard". Itinerant tasting of typical dishes and wines of the area, with musical performances and street artists. 12 noon Music along the streets, squares and courtyards of the route with musical groups, dance music, cover dj sets and closing SHOW of the 42nd Barbera Festival: at the Palchetto Ballet exhibition of artistic skating "SKATER" of Castagnole; at the “Marco & Mauro” Belvedere Stage; at the Palco della Torre “DJ Set Suite Mood” in concert; at Palabarbera "Fata Tinkerbell and Elfo Pabo" will welcome your children in the magical enchanted forest with theater games, music, creative workshops and much more; at the "DJ Set" Kindergarten Stage. During the day exhibition of the flag-wavers and musicians "City of Alba carousel of the hundred towers", flag-wavers "Gli Alfieri" and street artists. 8 pm Closing of the food and wine tour "The streets of Barbera: from courtyard to courtyard".
