Nizza è Barbera, the event dedicated to Barbera d'Asti docg and Nizza docg, doubles this year with four days of meetings, tastings and parties from 10 to 13 May.
Nizza Monferrato returns to being a great wine capital: over 60 producers to meet with 400 labels of Barbera d'Asti docg and Nizza docg for tasting. You will host the gastronomic products of the «T'Amo» short supply chain. This year too, the Barbera Forum, at the Foro Boario, opens on Saturday morning and entry is exclusively for time slots with three daily shifts (10am-1pm; 2pm-5pm; 5.30pm-8.30pm). On Mondays, entry is reserved for professionals in the sector from 3pm to 6.30pm. Free entry with accreditation. Reservation required on the site.
The protagonists will be the Women of Nizza with a masterclass on the present and future vision of the Nizza docg denomination (Sunday at 5pm in the former Santissima Trinità church).
At Palazzo Crova, home of the Nizza Regional Enoteca, experiential and olfactory tastings of Barbera. Lunch and dinner with a tasting table of wines from Nizza and Barbera producers at the Osteria Vineria La Signora in Rosso. White night with open shops and gastronomic offers in the city centre, where the Wine Points will be set up with a selection of Barbera d'Asti docg and Nizza docg labels for tasting. In Piazza Garibaldi, in Piazza XX Settembre and in the historic centre, the Nice Traders Association «Nizza col Cuore» organizes a local street food in collaboration with the local Pro Loco. Sunday by bike in the Nizza vineyards, Ferrari and SuperCar car rally, taste market in the historic centre.
Nizza è Barbera is organized by the City of Nizza Monferrato and the Regional Enoteca of Nizza with the support of the Consortium of Barbera d'Asti and Vini del Monferrato, the Nizza Producers Association and Astesana Strada del Vino. The event is sponsored by the Piedmont Region, the Province of Asti and the Asti Chamber of Commerce.
