Castiglione Tinella invites everyone to participate in the "Il Giorno delle Orchidee" event, scheduled for Sunday 5 May. The expected spring event has a strong naturalistic character and will allow you to spend a day immersed in nature, walking on the paths among the vineyards and enjoying the local food and wine. The program includes a meeting on Piazza XX Settembre starting at 10 am and starting at 10.30 am of the promenade that crosses the municipal territory, admiring also the panoramic-naturalistic park "Versi in Vigna", recently set up. You will arrive at the Bosco delle Badie where you can admire the flowering of the Orchis Purpurea, one of the many spontaneous orchids of the Langhe; a "generous midday snack" will be served to all participants by the Contessa di Castiglione Association and the Moscato Wine Shop. After lunch there is a suggestive concert in the woods that this year will feature the "Paolo Chiesa Trio", an ensemble of violins and cello that will offer a lineup of classic pieces. Then the walk on the paths starts again, arriving at the San Carlo lookout point, where you can admire the extensive landscape of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, enjoying homemade desserts accompanied by Moscato d’Asti wine. Then return to the starting square at about 5:00 pm.

Participation costs 12 euros, including lunch, concert and tasting (reduced to 6 euros for children under 10). Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended, for a roughly 5 km dirt track. In case of bad weather the event will be canceled.
