The charm of spring takes center stage in the historic village of Asti from 20 to 23 April among flowers, music, tastings and guided tours.
One of the most beautiful villages in Italy, lying between hills covered with vineyards and inserted, not surprisingly, in the so-called UNESCO buffer zone of the winegrowing landscapes of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato. This will be the setting for the first edition of "Fior di Lanze", the initiative which between 20 and 23 April will transform the historic center of Castagnole delle Lanze into a small spring garden full of flowers, colors and scents. An initiative organized by the municipal administration with the contribution of Fida Candies and the support of the Le Terre dei Savoia Association and carried out in collaboration with the Piedmont Region, the Múses - European Academy of Essences, the Community of the Hills between Langa and Monferrato, the Association for the Heritage of the Vineyard Landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato, the Association of the Restaurants of the Palette and the Langhe Monferrato Roero Tourism Board.
A four-day event that intends to celebrate the arrival of the spring season, but which also wants to enhance the artistic excellence that embellish the historic heart of Castagnole, Orange Flag of the Italian Touring Club since 2021. «We have created this event in synergy with the Association " Le Terre dei Savoia” which I thank in advance for their support and availability» commented the mayor of Castagnole delle Lanze, Calogero Mancuso. «The goal is to intrigue, divulge, excite. We are fortunate to have a historic village full of attractions. I am thinking of our arcades in via Ener Bettica which will be set up with a floral theme for the "Porticos to be enjoyed" initiative, but I am thinking above all of Palazzo Alfieri, Palazzo Santini or the Parco della Rimembranza, which will host specific olfactory stages to visit independently or in within the guided tours.”
The former church of the Battuti Bianchi will then be the setting for the sensorial concert “E(s)senza Musica?” on Thursday evening at 21.00. with Simona Colonna and Mariacarla Cantamessa, while on Friday evening at 20.30 at the Locanda Roma, the unmissable dinner "A flower in the dish" will take place based on edible flowers accompanied by wines from Castagnolese producers. And still themed workshops, presentations of books and copyright music with the musical theater reading "I fiori di Faber" and the performance of the Cuneo Jazz Quartet. A weekend in the name of history, culture and nature that we hope will find favor with tourists and the curious».
