The new edition of the Moscato Wine Festival changes face but it confirms the appointment of the association Go Wine for the promotion of this wine rich of the history. The event will take place Friday 22 and Saturday 23 June (17-23.00 p.m.) in the central via Lagrange in Turin. In an ideal run, wine glass to the hand among thousand occasions to taste, the program of the two days will be a true homage to this vine, one among the few to have diffusion in every Italian region and in many countries of the World.
The title doesn't leave doubts. Costigliole d’Asti aims the reflectors at the products borns in the wine cellars of his territory, disclosing the wealth, the prestige and the different variety of the products but also defending and valorizing the work of the men inside these confinements delineated from vineyards. The second edition of the event "100% Costigliole" is an invitation to discover and to taste really so many bottles: a wonderful parterre of bottles that attends the visitors in the historical rooms of the castle near the great artistic works of Eugenio Guglielminetti that certainly represent other beautiful motive to reach the imposing castle.
Saturday 18 and Sunday May 19 there will be to Cossano Belbo the sixteenth edition of the "Feast of the In". This event offers two days devoted to the craftsmanship and the eno-gastronomy of excellence, valorizing the typical products of these great hills. The organization prepares a lot of typical dishes and offers wines to taste during the weekend along the small street of the village. The day of Saturday with "IN.cantesimi of Culture" will be to see the presentation of female suits from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and the photographic show dedicated to the Langa territory."
Trekking, shows of the Nature, eno-gastronomy and music: they are these the ingredients of the annual and suggestive appointment with "The Day of the Orchids" of Castiglione Tinella that will be Sunday 12 May. The meeting is in XX Settembre square where at the 10.30 a.m. it departs for the walk through the splendid vineyards of Moscato grapes along the prepared naturalistic paths. It will arrive to the Badia Wood where the flowering of the spontaneous orchid “Orchis purpurea” can be observed.
On Saturday the 4th of May 2013 art becomes urban landscape and decorates house walls, streets and the square, giving light to every corner and creating a peculiar suggestion. The entire village becomes an open sky gallery of contemporary art, free visible every day of the year. A weekend of local markets, artistic laboratories, opening and visit of the permanent exhibition through the old town streets and of the “Don Michele Messa” picture gallery. On Saturday the 4th the event begins with the opening of the artistic “journey” at 3.00 p.m., the concert of the mezzo-soprano Agata Lombardo at the San Pietro in Vincoli church at 5.30 p.m. and from 6.30 p.m. the food and wine path and another musical concert.
Costigliole d’Asti, Castagnole delle Lanze, Coazzolo and Montegrosso d’Asti are the protagonist of the “Barbera Castles” event, which takes place from the 26th of April to the 5th of May, involving these four Municipalities between Langa and Monferrato. Each village propose different programs, with many appointments that offer great food and wine, music, historical sceneries, exhibitions and entertainments of the territory. Rendezvous in Costigliole d’Asti at Rorà Castle on Saturday the 27th and on Sunday the 28th of April, in Montegrosso on Tuesday the 30th of April, in Coazzolo on Friday the 3rd of May and in Castagnole on Saturday the 4th and on Sunday the 5th of May. Of course, among many Barbera you’ll find Moscato d’Asti tastings, too.
Vinum, the great event dedicated to the introduction of the Langhe and Roero new vintages, is back in Alba from the 27th of April to the 1st of May. In addition to the traditional Enoteca di Langhe e Roero at the “Palazzo Mostre e Congressi” with more than 400 labels, there will be many Wine Tasting Experiences, led by experts in the field, for wine connoisseurs and lovers (on booking with tastings in two different moments during the day).
Domenica 28 April the country of Neive remembers Romano Levi with a program that introduces different appointments. In the historical center since the morning it opens "the Donna's Selvatica House", it follows the presentation of the book "The Taste of the Piedmont" and the first edition of the show-market of the historical bottles of the develops him "Grappiol'Angelico"; appetizer with music and restaurant for the streets of the country: with the dishes will have served the four wines of Neive: Moscato, Barbera, Dolcetto and Barbaresco (from midday to 7 p.m.).
