A whole country that stirs on the waves of his hills and among the tastes of his wine prince. Costigliole  d’Asti is preparing the table for the crowd of visitors that every year arrives on the occasion of the event "Barbera, il Gusto del Territorio". It will be from October 30 to November 2 in a to follow of appointments that drive the attention toward the Cantina comunale dei Vini, the magnificent Asinari castle , the Church of St. Gerolamo and for the first time the Church of Misericordia. A mixture of ingredients that animate a landscape Patrimony of the Humanity, that hands the tastes of the wines and the distillates, of the truffles on the squares and among the dishes of the traditional kitchen in the so many restaurants of the territory, the photo, the theater, the music and so much reception.

Everything has beginning Friday 30 October, when at the 11am the Cantina dei Vini opens its parade of 200 labels of Barbera wine to the public of over 100 producers and of the distillates of "Pianeta Grappa", while in the town theater the press conference of presentation becomes animated with the choreography "Eco della visione" together with the company THE VERY SECRET DANCE SOCIETY. From 4 to 7 pm photographic show can be admired " Scatti d’autore" in the rooms of the Asinari castle, open in the same afternoon schedule - and to the morning from the hours 10 at 12 o'clock - also Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November. In an event that sets the reflectors on the great wine Barbera, an very important appointment  is certainly on scheduled Saturdays 31 October in the wine cellars of the castle where operates the ICIF, the international school of kitchen: here at 4 pm the driven tasting is proposed "Barbera and food: marriage of love or interest?"conducted by the note sommelier Laura Pesce (cost 15 Euro and booking to the numbers 0141.962202-961661).

In the same afternoon, the castle relives its history through the dances in nineteenth-century suits while he can also contemplate the Museum of Sacred art to the Church of St. Gerolamo and the devotional charm of the Church of Misericordia. Every evening can be made with the glass in hand among the bottles of the Wine cellar, to taste to lunch or to supper the recipes of the traditional gastronomy had proposed since three Pro Loco; Sunday 1 November is the Day of the Truffle, they continue the shows and the tastings and at the 12 it is anticipated the official moment of the posting of the plate Unesco to the Asinari castle: an important action that certifies the great recognition reached from this ground and from her landscape.
