Everything is ready in the large hamlet of Motta di Costigliole d'Asti to celebrate the Peperone Quadrato d'Asti through the historic festival that takes place every summer, this year it reached its 73rd edition and presented with a program that will develop from 27 to 31 July. The organizers say: the vegetables and in particular the Peperone Quadrato d'Asti represent with the wines a great trump card of the traditional economy and are here exalted and celebrated in the four food and wine evenings, in a program full of shows, culture, games and sport for all ages.

It starts on Friday, July 27th: from 7.30 pm the Food and Wine Stand is open, which proposes the “Gran Fritto Misto alla piemontese” (reservation required by July 26th at the telephone number 334.9091320 from 12 to 15 and from 19 to 22); from 9.30 pm, dancing evening with the "Italian Bagutti Orchestra" (admission € 10). On the evening of Saturday 28th July, the Food and Wine Stand offers another specialty, the Frane fritte alla Mottese, while the dancing evening will be with the orchestra "Matteo Bensi" (free entry).

Sunday, July 29 "Motta in Fiera from dawn to dusk": market of the square pepper of Asti and review of Agri-food, Craftsmanship and Hobby: during the day, starting at 10, the Holy Mass, the performance of the Costigliolese Band Ensemble and the "Gli Alfieri" flag-wavers; at 12.30 Lunch Fair and at 7.30 pm the Food and Wine Stand reopens: on the table "La Rana marries the Peperone"; to enliven the evening, the "Pietro Galassi orchestra” (free entry), with the election of Miss Motta 2018.

Monday, July 30, at 19.30 is scheduled the "Grigliata under the Stars" and then, at 22, dancing evening with "Sonia De Castelli" free entry, while, at 23.15, you can admire the traditional Pyrotechnic Show.

The festival closes its long program Tuesday, July 31 with the concert of the group "Eiffel 65" expected at 22 with admission to 10 euros.

In case of bad weather the event will take place indoors.
