There is the usual big wait for the "Fiera del Rapulé" that from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 October will welcome thousands of participants in Calosso, who will transform the town into a huge festival dedicated to tradition and food and wine. At 19.00 on Friday there will be the opening of the various art exhibitions and of the long food and wine route that starts from Piazza S. Alessandro: a journey through 24 tasty stages that will allow you to taste the typical dishes of Monferrato accompanied by the wines of the producers of the country ; a "path" to discover the many "crutin", the ravines dug into the tuff characteristic of many houses in the historic center that also offer the name to the currency of exchange, necessary for all tastings. Saturday, October 20, the route opens at 6 pm and closes, like the previous day, at 24 hours. Sunday, October 21, from 11 am, opens the path for lunch and also the program includes the Holy Mass of the Blessed, the Market of Rapulé through the streets of the center and, at 4 pm, the traditional pressing of the grapes (the rapulin) with the feet and the election of Miss Rapulera and Mister Rapulé. This fair of regional character that takes place in one of the so-called core areas of UNESCO, is now among the great annual events that animate the autumn in Monferrato and also offers street art performances and moments of music. As always, the logistics are organized: free parking is available in Santo Stefano Belbo, Piana del Salto, San Bovo and Via Orto Peschiera, connected to the town by shuttle bus (cost 1 euro for a return trip). Parking lots also for campers and caravans. Info: www.fieradelrapule.it; www.comune.calosso.at.it.
