In the presence of various authorities, territorial mayors, journalists and tourism operators, the new "Versi in Vigna" Panoramic-Literary Park was presented on the premises of the Hotel Castiglione, a setting probably unique in the world (and for this reason the 'idea will be protected by a certified registration), which intends to be a further promotional action for the territory of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato that four years ago received UNESCO recognition. An attention that, in this case, focuses on the "vineyard", which becomes the body of a poetic literary form, hosting texts in verses dedicated to the work of the winemakers and to this land.
The mayor says: Each vineyard is a sequence, a static photograph of a rhythm that is measure and length, a cadence which is also the daily step of the man who frequents and cultivates it. Let's imagine the vineyard on a page of paper: each row becomes the line for a line with its going to the end: the formal act of poetry in literature and repeated action by the farmer find their meeting point, the conjunction and correspondence.
Castiglione Tinella thus becomes "the country of written vineyards" and offers a new reason to visitors to come and admire a beautiful landscape, a unique and evocative installation that is already arousing attention and curiosity and that can potentially carry a large number of people on the territory . But what can you admire on the Castilian hills? 6 vineyards, chosen by location and slope on different sides, host poems in 5 free verses by Lorenzo Dulevant and Bruno Penna, which appear through the installation of large white letters set on anti-hail nets that "hug" the body of the row; we speak of over 500 square meters of writing, visible up to 450 meters away along the nature trails and ridges. The texts can also be read in English through signs with QR code positioned in places that offer visibility.
The "Versi in Vigna" project has had a long gestation, also due to the complexity of the realization, but now it has become reality, thanks also to the patronage, support and contribution of the Tourism and Culture Department of the Piedmont Region, the Association for the Heritage of the Vineyard Landscapes of Langhe Roero and Monferrato, of the Egea Group, of the Asti and Moscato d'Asti Consortium and of the Ente Turismo Langhe Monferrato Roero, who believed in this unprecedented promotional action that certainly has a high tourist value but also cultural and literary.
Special thanks - says the mayor - goes to the owners of the vineyards, which offer in this case a valuable collaboration for further development of the country. The installations will not significantly compromise their work among the rows, but special care will be needed and for this their availability is certainly admirable.
And thanks also to the Bottega del Vino Moscato - partner of the project -, to the administrators of this Municipality and to the many castiglionesi who participated in the preparation and preparation of the writing, work that was finally revealed as an event shared by whole community.
Who will reach Castiglione Tinella, will be able to collect for free from the Municipality, in shops and in accommodation facilities, the booklet (printed in Italian and English) that explains the project with the map of the park.
