"Piemonte Grappa", the annual event of the Consortium for the Protection of Piedmont Grappa and Grappa di Barolo, will be held. The appointment that highlights the work of the Piedmont distilleries, inviting visitors to discover the fascinating world of the still and the varied tastes of the products of distillation and more, is confirmed for Sunday 4 October and is included in the program of the Douja d 'Or 2020 as an event that promotes the territory and its excellences, thanks to the collaboration with the Asti Chamber of Commerce. The Consortium distilleries that join are 11, distributed on the hills of the different Piedmont areas, and all are ready to welcome the public by applying the caution measures relating to Covid-19 that visitors must comply with. Guided tours of the plants and tastings of the many products that represent this Piedmont sector will be offered, linked to the tradition of the different territories and different grape varieties, often served in combination with confectionery products or other specialties. It will be important to contact the distillery you intend to visit and book, choosing from the companies that appear on the website www.consorziograppapiemontebarolo.it. In this anomalous year, in which a pandemic has come to hit the economy and undermine people's freedom, this event intends to be a positive signal that represents the will to continue the work and the promotion of an ancient historical and artisan activity which is passed on through the generations.
